AurigaTM
The star tracker for small satellite constellations
Auriga is an innovative and competitive star tracker which has been specifically designed for the constellation and small satellite market, with a production capacity of one hundred units per month.
Auriga offers the best size/weight/consumption/performance/price compromise available on the star tracker market. Highly competitive, it offers a long lifetime in orbit and unrivalled performances for its category.
There are currently over 700 Aurigas in orbit, on board constellations and small autonomous satellites, and many more are ready to be launched!
- Auriga CP is composed of an optical head which integrates image pre-processing
- The software provided by Sodern is implemented in the satellite’s on-board computer and enables three optical heads to be processed at the same time
- The star tracker software is implemented in a specific electronic unit, supplied by Sodern
Horus
Single box star tracker
Horus is an autonomous star tracker which uses innovative technologies to guarantee performance and competitiveness for applications which require a single field of view. A robust and very recent product, Horus is particularly adapted to telecoms platforms.
- New generation APS space detector (Active Pixel Sensor)
- Processor integrated into a single component
- Light composite baffle
Hydra
Highly resilient modular star tracker
Hydra is a star tracker which provides modularity and performance thanks to a range of versions. Providing exceptional quality and resilience, Hydra is installed in particular on board the main institutional and scientific missions of several countries, as well as on telecommunications and observation satellites in all orbits.
- Hydra CP is composed of an optical head which integrates image pre-processing
- The software provided by Sodern is implemented in the satellite’s on-board computer and enables one optical head to be processed
- Hydra M is a low consumption/weight version
- Thanks to advanced software processing, it enables normal performances to be maintained without requiring active thermal regulation in the optical head
- Therefore, the unit is lighter and the head’s consumption is less than 1W
- Hydra TC is a version with 2 separate optical heads and 1 electronic unit with redundant electronics
- Hydra TC is the best compromise for Geostationary satellite applications which require performance and availability
- Configuration with up to 4 optical heads and 2 electronic units
- Recommended for missions which require high performance and reliability through multi-head management
